From 31.01 - 02.02.23 the 8th UEFA Medical Symposium took place at the DFB-Campus in Frankfurt. The theme of the event was "Importance of medicine in football". Various speakers gave lectures on the latest findings and progress in the field of medicine in soccer. About 350 participants were present, most of them medical representatives of the world federations and the biggest clubs of the European top leagues.
In this course we got the opportunity to present the reLounge. Our complete focus here was on the topic of "regeneration".
Tightly timed game schedules, long journeys or flights in between. Optimal regeneration looks different - and yet it is so important to prevent injuries, making it all the more important to find ways to speed up the regeneration process.

The muscle cell is opened and there is an improved supply of nutrients directly in the cell. Thus, a player can regenerate faster and reach his maximum performance more efficiently.
After the gathering of the congress participants and the first interesting lectures on day 1, the day was rounded off with an official UEFA dinner. Here was the opportunity to show off, network or exchange ideas with absolute luminaries of the medical industry.
The second day was all about "re-entry after injuries/illnesses". Muscle activation through modulated mid-frequency in the reLounge is ideally suited for the transition to increased loads after a protracted absence.
The interest for our booth was very high. We were able to have insightful and profound conversations and regularly one or the other person lay on the couch.
In the evening the official dinner of the DFB took place. Directly at the campus, in a beautiful location, all congress participants sat together and listened to the words of Philipp Lahm, among others. Here, too, we were able to have many interesting and penetrating conversations.
On the third and last day, the workshops started, where what we had heard in advance was applied. Here, various expert groups were formed to address specific topics. The breaks were used extensively to recover a bit from the exertions of the last days - our reLounge was a gladly used tool for this.
We are looking forward to further intensifying the discussions with interested parties - and hope to be present at one or the other soccer team in the future.
