Jumping Fitness - more effective than jogging

According to a study published in the International Journal of Sports Science, trampolining is twice as effective as running in improving aerobic fitness and 50% more efficient at burning fat. Trampoline training also increases vertical bounce and reduces body fat more significantly. These results are particularly due to the different movements on the trampoline - a combination of stretching, running, jumping and balancing - which significantly increase energy expenditure and even reach and activate deep muscles. Another study by NASA states that trampolining builds 68% more endurance and muscle than jogging. In normally trained people, the back muscles as well as the intervertebral discs are heavily stressed, whereas jumping ensures a strong back. Especially the fast change between load and unload has positive effects on the metabolism of the intervertebral discs. The constant balancing on the trampoline requires an upright spine, which is strengthened in this way. The suspension ensures that, in contrast to jogging, there is no impact and pressure load, but the joints are protected.
