Jaime Irick is the new President of Life Fitness

The Brunswick Corporation, the parent company of Life Fitnesshas today appointed a new head for its fitness division. Effective immediately, 42-year-old Jaime Irick replaces Chris Clawson as President of Life Fitness, who is leaving the company. Jaime Irick will report to Brunswick CEO Mark Schwabero.

Jaime Irick spent 14 years in various leadership positions at General Electric (GE). Most recently, he was advertising manager for GE's Current company, a provider of complete networked solutions for corporate energy management. The business economist with a Master's degree from Harvard Business School has made a name for himself as a financial strategist and in the further development of traditional business models for new markets.

"Our fitness division has become increasingly successful on the international market and thus more and more important internally. Today, with its leading global brands and products, it is responsible for around 20 percent of Brunswick's turnover," said Schwabero. This development is due in large part to the previous Life Fitness President Chris Clawson. "He deserves great credit for his tenure and we wish him all the best for the future."

Under the direction of Jaime Irick, business in the fitness segment is to be further expanded. "We want to continue to grow and achieve annual sales of around 1.5 billion US dollars by 2020," explained Schwabero. The new President of Life Fitness will create additional capacity to position the brand family even better in existing and new markets.
