EGYM Health & Wiesn 2025: When digitalization meets Dirndl

4 Ratings

Munich, innovation, Oktoberfest flair - the perfect combination to show how high-tech and tradition go together. At this year's EGYM Health & Wiesn, everything revolved around the question of how digitalization and artificial intelligence are changing the fitness and health industry. Following the success of last year's premiere, the second edition was also sold out and made it clear: the future of training is digital, connected and smarter than ever.

EGYM Health & Wiesn 2025: Wenn Digitalisierung auf Dirndl trifft

From start-up to industry driver

EGYM, which started out as a Munich-based start-up with a vision for automated, intelligent training, is now a global technology leader in the field of connected fitness. The company operates its own branches in Europe, the USA and Asia and develops solutions that digitally connect fitness studios, physiotherapy practices and rehabilitation centers.

Just how much progress has been made was also evident at the event. Jan Scherzer, VP Sales DACH at EGYM, emphasized: "We are incredibly proud to be able to host this event in order to provide operators with innovations to help them take their business to the next level."

Together with Stefan Küper, Lead for EGYM Physio, Scherzer outlined the company's impressive journey - from the first prototypes of smart strength equipment to the largest open training ecosystem in the fitness world. The close exchange with studio operators has been the key to success: "Being good once is not enough to remain competitive in the long term."

Digitalization with practical relevance

The Health & Wiesn program was varied and inspiring - with specialist presentations, discussion panels and interactive sessions that offered concrete solutions for day-to-day studio work.

Angelina Zirkel (Country Manager at seca) used practical examples to show how structured onboarding can retain members in the long term.

Dr. Kurt Mosetter explained how the "Dr. Mosetter Principle" developed by him improves the body's metabolism and energy processes.

Nick Bol, Co-Managing Director of Myokraft, spoke about active therapy as a sustainable philosophy of life.

Deniz Aytekin, Bundesliga referee and entrepreneur, brought sporting discipline and modern leadership together.

Hands-on experience at the EGYM headquarters

The event took place at the EGYM headquarters in Munich, where visitors were able to experience the latest product innovations first-hand. From intelligently controlled strength equipment to cloud-based training analysis, guests were able to try out live how EGYM transforms networked training data into motivation and measurable results.

In addition, partner companies such as Matrix Fitness and Life Fitness presented their equipment, which can be seamlessly integrated into the EGYM platform. The ecosystem is constantly growing and makes visible what drives EGYM: the vision of a boundlessly connected fitness universe in which training, health and data interact intelligently.

White-blue competitive spirit and Oktoberfest fun

Of course, the Bavarian flavor could not be missing at a Munich event. At the "Bavarian Olympics", participants competed against each other in disciplines such as beer mug lifting and nailing - with lots of fun, sporting spirit and team spirit.

The evening then ended where Munich is at its warmest: on the Wiesn. Over chicken, pretzels and Kaiserschmarrn in the Armbrustschützenzelt, the guests enjoyed networking, laughing and celebrating - in keeping with the EGYM philosophy that physical and social activity belong together.

More than just an event - a look into the future of fitness

EGYM Health & Wiesn 2025 impressively demonstrated that digitalization is not an end in itself, but creates real added value. Artificial intelligence, smart training control and data-supported evaluations enable more individualized, safer and more sustainable training and move fitness studios forward.

EGYM is once again proving its role as a driver of innovation in the fitness industry: enthusiastic about technology, practical and always with the clear goal of helping people to lead healthier lives.

The interplay of innovation, knowledge transfer and Bavarian joie de vivre made EGYM Health & Wiesn 2025 a unique experience. Between exciting discussions about artificial intelligence and hearty Kaiserschmarrn, it became clear that the future of fitness is digital, but always with a human heartbeat.
