The Frankfurt-based start-up Swarm Market Research AI presents its trend forecast for the fitness market. The artificial intelligence Pythia recognizes trends before they become visible to everyone and shows what will make fitness freaks sweat over the next 18 months.
Pythia's neural network sifts through all search entries on Google, Amazon & Co. and, paired with machine learning and the search volume of the last five years, it predicts trends with 95% accuracy, according to the company. This way, gyms, retailers and producers know what sports enthusiasts want. According to Pythia, interest in the following sports will increase in particular: Bouldering and Free Climbing, Darts, Dirt Jump, Free Diving / Apnea Diving, Hyrox, Ski Mountaineering, Snowboarding, Ice Climbing / Ice Climbing, Yin Yoga and Zwift.
