After Milan and New York, Vienna is the third metropolis in the world to have a Technogym flagship store. On Thursday, the new showroom in the city center was officially opened with a grand VIP gala and top-class guests.
Technogym called - and everyone came. The new Technogym flagship store in Vienna was officially opened with a large star-studded line-up. Over 250 guests from the worlds of sport, business, politics and culture accepted the invitation from the world's leading provider of products, services and solutions in the wellness and fitness industry to get a first impression of the new store in the heart of the Austrian capital.
Numerous sports stars in attendance
Gottfried Wurpes, founder of "the fitness company" and representative for Technogym in Austria for 25 years, joined Technogym Vice President Pierluigi Alessandri at the opening at Franz-Josefs-Kai 5 to welcome the sporting brand ambassadors Marcel HirscherJulia Dujmovits and Eva-Maria Brem KTM CEO Stefan Pierer, the ÖFB top management with President Leo Windtner, Sports Director Willi Ruttensteiner and Team Manager Marcel KollerJohn Harris owner Ernst Minar, biathletes Lisa Hauser and Simon Eder and top restaurateur Mario Plachutta.
The new Technogym store in Vienna's city center, for which a suitable location was sought for around two years, is set to set new standards, CEO Gottfried Wurpes proudly announced. And how? "The flagship store is a statement for fitness! Our customers get an impression of our exclusive fitness equipment and can familiarize themselves with our products in a new and active dimension in a relaxed atmosphere."
Hirscher impressed by Skillmill
A stylish ambience for high-quality fitness solutions was created on 380 m² and two levels in collaboration with the multi-award-winning Italian star architect Antonio Citterio. The "Designer of the Year" has not created a showroom in the conventional sense, but an overall experience of inspiration and motivation.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Technogym six days a week: whether they are professional athletes, fitness managers or private customers, the spacious business premises are available to everyone. Even Hollywood stars have already been spotted shopping.
Six-time overall World Cup winner Marcel Hirscher was also impressed by the new flagship store, only the third in the world after Milan and New York. "Performance meets style! When I see all the equipment, I'm already looking forward to my next workout." And what is the Salzburg native's favorite piece of equipment from the extensive Technogym range? "The Skillmill," he says off the top of his head, "you'll need the bucket after a minute."
