The fitness expert hires Mark Fest as new managing director for Les Mills Germany. Since yesterday, Mark Fest, a qualified engineer, has taken over the post from Trutz Fries.

Mark Fest has already worked in the fitness industry for more than 14 years and was international sales manager for the equipment manufacturer Precor, which belongs to the Amer Sports Group, since 2001. During this time, Mark Fest was also responsible for the successful expansion of the dealer network and direct sales organizations. Since 2010, Mark Fest has been a management trainer and business coach for leading DAX companies on specific topics such as leadership and sales, making him a very fitting addition to his profile for the new position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Les Mills Germany.

"While it is very unfortunate that Trutz Fries is leaving Les Mills, I am already looking forward to the values that Mark Fest will bring to the company," says Keith Burnet, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Les Mills Global Markets. "We have no doubt that Mark will be an outstanding new leader for Les Mills Germany and we are already looking forward to his positive influence."

Mark Fest is married and has one daughter. The topics of sports and fitness are also very high on the new CEO's agenda: from running to fitness to golf, he is very active in sports.

"The commercial success of fitness studios and the satisfaction of their studio members are the focus of my work," says Mark Fest. "As an impulse-giving business partner, we will support the studios in inspiring members and winning them as long-term customers," he explains. "That's why, among other things, we'll continue to expand our seminar offerings for club managers to best support them in effectively implementing group training." Les Mills already hosts regular seminars for studio owners, led by trained Les Mills sales managers. In these seminars, Les Mills addresses the questions and core issues of the clubs and provides goal-oriented approaches to solutions, for example on the topic of course schedule optimization.

Mark Fest takes over the position from Trutz Fries, who had been with Les Mills since May 2012. After two and a half years of successful management, Trutz Fries is saying goodbye to Les Mills to start his own business outside the fitness industry.
