The fitness industry is undergoing a remarkable transformation, particularly with regard to the increasing number of members over the age of 50. This development underlines the increasing popularity of muscle training among the older generation, which is an effective way of counteracting muscular weaknesses that can make everyday life considerably more difficult.

Knowing your own physical limits plays a crucial role, especially for senior citizens. A balanced training program that stays within these limits is essential to reap the full benefits of training without endangering your health.

At FIBO 2024, DFAV e. V. and RehaVitalisPlus e. V. will be presenting a pioneering diagnostics course in a joint campaign in Hall 9, Stand C34. This initiative aims to use state-of-the-art technology and equipment to precisely determine participants' critical performance parameters before the start of a training program. These assessments are not only essential before the program starts, but should also be repeated regularly to monitor training progress and adjust the program if necessary.

The added value of such data is enormous, as it provides trainers and exercisers alike with a sound basis for developing customized and effective training plans. Especially at an older age, concerns about overloading can be allayed and a safe framework for achieving personal fitness goals can be created.

Many thanks go to the supporting companies, including EGYM, Matrix Fitness, Life Fitness, Dr. WOLFF, cardioscan, InBody, seca, HUR, Galileo and Kübler, whose first-class fitness equipment and systems have made a significant contribution to the success of this project. Their commitment enables a comprehensive and progressive approach to promoting physical health and provides participants with access to a wide range of evaluation and training options.
