Core Health & Fitness introduced the new OpenHub cardio consoles with built-in Apple Watch connectivity at this year's FIBO tradeshow. Exercisers can now connect their Apple Watch to compatible displays on fitness equipment with a simple tap to wirelessly track and optimize their workout via Apple's recently launched GymKit platform.
"OpenHub displays are open platforms through which we work with various partners to deliver highly compatible fitness solutions to the widest possible number of users," said Travis Vaughan, director of cardio products and technology at Core Health & Fitness. "With Apple Watch connectivity, we are now bringing a new exceptional integrated fitness tracking solution to market for a global customer base."
Core Health & Fitness is a proud launch partner of Apple's GymKit program. The integrated connectivity will initially be available on the LCD displays of the OpenHub consoles for Star Trac and StairMaster. Later this year, both touchscreen displays and Schwinn cycling computers will also feature the technology.
