Double success for C+P Möbelsysteme at the INDEX trade fair in Dubai - Cegano SmartTable and SonicWall Smart win Product Design Award
Smart furniture and intelligent technology integration - last year, C+P Klimawand won the Product Design Award at the INDEX trade fair in Dubai. In 2015, the furniture experts from Breidenbach went one better and won two awards in one go. The awards went to high-tech furniture that is only available from C+P worldwide.
Award winners Cegano SmartTable and SonicWall Smart
At this year's INDEX, C+P presented Cegano Meeting, a program that meets the most diverse requirements for smart and efficient meetings - including the latest generation of the Cegano SmartTable, which works wirelessly.
The basic philosophy: several participants meet and want to view documents, images or videos together on one screen. Everyone has a different end device with which they want to show their files. Until now, this has meant endless cabling and searching for the right source on the TV remote control.
However, the Cegano SmartTable is a table and intelligent device manager in one. Apart from a power connection, it needs nothing; everything else works 100% wirelessly with all common standards.
The matching output medium is the SonicWall Smart, a mobile screen with an integrated monitor. This wall also only needs a power connection to interact wirelessly with the Cegano SmartTable. As a special highlight, these walls are even shown in a curved version with current curved TVs up to 78''. You can see: Intelligent technology, good furniture design and elegant curves can certainly go hand in hand.
"Technology leader in the furnishing industry"
C+P entered both products for the Product Design Award at the INDEX trade fair. Not only the pure design was evaluated, but also the functionality and innovative technology. The C+P team was delighted that both entries were successful. Sales and Marketing Manager Tobias Walter: "In a very short space of time, we have become the national and international technology leader in the furnishing industry. In doing so, we have ventured into areas that go far beyond furnishing, such as our Klimawand, which won an award last year." With its "smart" furniture and intelligent technology integration, the company is consistently pursuing this path, says Walter.
Setting standards
The furniture manufacturer C+P has made a name for itself on the market in recent years with the topic of "integrated media technology". In 2010, it became the first European manufacturer to integrate wireless charging modules in series products in line with the international "Qi" standard. This expertise in the professional furniture segment was consistently developed further - and the company obviously had the right "nose". Because with IKEA, Europe's best-known home furniture retailer has now also opted for the same standard as C+P.
