As part of the new Functional Training trend, core training is now getting a boost. This type of training specifically trains the body's core, which is important for good posture and is involved in almost every body movement.

Core training especially trains the back and torso, a popular method is training with kettlebells. This is used to strengthen stability, flexibility, agility and acceleration. Core training is not about pure strength training in the sense of muscle growth, but the performance of the muscles and thus the entire body should be strengthened.

The importance of a well-trained core is also made clear by the multiple functions of the muscles located there: a well-trained trunk protects the lower back and prevents injuries. The upright posture is strengthened and the coordinative abilities increase. Thus, the entire body is strengthened by core training and preventively protected from back problems.

Training mit Kettlebells

The most commonly used training equipment for core training are so-called kettlebells. These iron weights with a handle can be used for many core exercises. However, it is not only about lifting the weight of the kettlebells, but also about keeping the balance during the exercises.

Due to the different weights and the various exercise possibilities, this type of training is not only suitable for advanced users, but also for beginners.
