Description
How to train with the Spirit Power Rack
This power rack opens up countless training options. The squat forms the basis: it not only trains the thighs but, according to fitness experts, works almost every muscle group in the body and strengthens the lower back, abdominal muscles, hip flexors and shoulders in particular Thanks to the height-adjustable J-hooks, you can adjust the barbell exactly to your height.
Deadlifts, pull-ups and overhead presses can also be performed safely in the rack. Pull-ups promote the development of the latissimus dorsi, biceps and forearm muscles. The rowing exercise on the barbell also strengthens the back muscles such as the lats, middle and lower trapezius muscles as well as the rhomboids and rear shoulders.
In combination with a weight bench, you can perform bench presses, which mainly train the chest muscles (pectoralis major), shoulders and arms. Different variations (flat, incline, close grip) allow you to target the triceps, front shoulder or upper chest area.
Useful accessories: barbells, plates and benches
To fully exploit the potential of the power rack, we recommend a high-quality Olympic barbell. You can find the right barbells here: Olympic barbells.
You should use rubber or urethane bumper plates for the weight plates. These plates absorb the impact energy when the barbell is lowered, protect the floor and reduce noise. Especially if you are training in your home gym or in an apartment complex. You can find the right weight plates here: Olympic weight plates
Two different weight benches are recommended as a supplement:
- flat bench (SP 4201): It features a three-point contact design for high stability, a lightweight but sturdy frame for quick position changes and non-slip rubber feet to protect the floor. The bench weighs only 25 kg, but can be loaded with up to 280 kg.
- Adjustable bench (SP 4204): The backrest can be adjusted from flat to 90 degrees, while the seat can be adjusted to four positions. Thanks to the integrated handle and transport castors, the bench, which weighs around 36.3 kg, is easy to move. It can also support up to 280 kg.
With this combination of power rack, Olympic barbell, low-noise bumper plates and matching benches, you have a professional strength station that leaves nothing to be desired.
