Description

Electrolysis detox foot bath

Ion therapy systems supply the body with important ions that are necessary for the neutralization, mobilization and elimination of acids, waste products and toxins.

The detox electrolysis footbath was developed in 2001 by the British doctor Dr. Mary Staggs. Her spectacular therapeutic successes with addicts in her clinic in southern Spain led to the systems quickly becoming established in the English-speaking world and then worldwide.

In this footbath, the physical principle of electrolysis is used with galvanic current to remove toxins, acids and waste products directly (see also text at the bottom). A discoloration of the water is normal and has physical reasons, but varies from patient to patient depending on the type of slagging.

The galvanic electrolysis footbath can be excellently combined with almost all therapy methods, thus optimizing the therapy results. It also works synergistically with other detoxification and purification methods (e.g. fasting).

The detox bath is also an indispensable partner in the elimination of heavy metals. Of course, it is always important to drink sufficient fluids and replenish the body's own mineral deposits.

Galvanic detox baths have proven effective for the following indications, among others:

Tiredness, fatigue

Removal of waste products and toxins

Balancing the acid-base balance

Support for weight reduction

Increasing performance

Support for competitive sports

Strengthening the immune system

Skin and mucous membrane irritations

Bronchial stress

Elimination of heavy metal contamination

Muscle tension

Circulatory disorders

Excessive sweating

Fungal infestation (e.g. in the intestines, athlete's foot,...)

Nervous overload

Support with addiction cessation

Diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis

Congestion in the lymphatic system / oedema

Hyperactivity

MCS (= multiple chemical intolerance)

Cellulite ("orange peel skin")

After illness / for convalescence

Rheumatic diseases, fibromyalgia

cancer

Chronic inflammation

Metabolic diseases (e.g. diabetes, gout,...)

Neurological diseases (e.g. MS)

Spider veins, varicose veins

The functional principles of the hydrogalvanic footbath

How does electrolysis work?

Electrolysis is a chemical process that takes place in conjunction with water, alkaline salts and galvanic current. In the zinc coil that connects the device to the footbath, there is a positively and a negatively charged pole, which (under the influence of the galvanic fine current) release positively and negatively charged ions. Due to the high concentration of ions in the water, these diffuse osmotically into the body:

Negatively charged hydroxide ions stop free radicals with their high reduction potential and also supply the organism with "good" oxygen.

Positively charged mineral ions (e.g. Na+, Ca+, Ka+) neutralize waste products, acids and toxins, which can then be eliminated.

The work of the sodium-potassium pump is improved.

Cells are supplied with energy.

What is galvanic current?

Galvanic current is a "direct current" that has no "frequencies". Direct current means that the current always flows in one direction. For example, from the anode (positive pole) to the cathode (negative pole). In contrast to alternating current (e.g. the current from the socket), which constantly changes its direction, direct current flows constantly.

The electrolysis footbath generates galvanic currents that induce microcurrents in the body. This activates the cell metabolism.

Why detox through the feet?

Detoxification baths have a firm place in naturopathy, e.g. the "stanger bath" has even been known in conventional medicine for many years to promote circulation and support the metabolism (however, this is a full bath, which would require a complete room to carry out). Partial baths in the form of electrolysis foot baths are much more practical

For various reasons, our feet are particularly suitable for detoxifying the entire body:

Reflex zones of all the organs in our body are located on the feet and are in direct contact with them.

Each of the soles of our feet has around 2,000 ( !!!) sweat glands, which act as exchange media in both directions in the osmotic process.

Many important energy channels (meridians) have their end point in the feet and are in contact with them.

Some of the harmful substances can diffuse osmotically through the skin into the footbath water during use (e.g. this has been proven to be the case with acids). This relieves our detoxification organs and frees the blood, lymph, connective tissue and cells from metabolic waste products and harmful substances. By stimulating the foot reflex zones and meridians (energy pathways), blockages can be released - the body is revitalized.

Who is the hydrogalvanic foot bath treatment suitable for?

The hydrogalvanic foot bath can be used for prophylactic purposes as well as for the targeted treatment of adults and children aged 7 and over.

Only pregnant women, children under the age of 7 and people with epilepsy, transplanted organs, impaired kidney function or metallic or electronic implants (pacemakers, artificial joints or metallic connections from the hip downwards, including copper wire IUDs in women) should not use the footbath as a precaution.

Discoloration of the water

Oxidative processes during electrolysis, as well as external circumstances such as water quality, the salt used and (crucially) the person whose feet are bathing in the water, are responsible for the discoloration of the water. This is often the focus of criticism, with reports of alleged misleading information unfortunately causing uncertainty among therapists and users. In general, of course, any electrolysis process causes discoloration or changes in the water due to oxidation of the substances in the water. However, practice (in which the same water or alkaline salt is always used) shows that these discolorations are strongly related to the respective patient or their symptoms! The colors vary from orange, green, brown to black or white.

How is the hydrogalvanic foot bath applied?

One treatment lasts approx. 30-45 minutes. During this time you sit comfortably on a chair and bathe your feet in warm, clear tap water. This treatment can be carried out one to three times a week (depending on the symptoms). Approximately 6-15 sessions are recommended for optimum results. It is important to drink enough fluids (also after the foot bath), as the activation of the metabolism continues for several hours and the bound toxins need to be flushed out.

Are cheaper footbath devices recommended for use at home?

Some detox foot bath systems are offered on the Internet for as little as €69. These are often not recommended for various reasons. The manufacturer often lacks safety certificates and the cheap components used cause so-called interference frequencies that affect the organs in their natural vibration, which can lead to health problems. Often there are no additional safety control circuits (or not enough of them) to prevent a 230 V electric shock. Fine adjustment of the intensity of the current is usually not possible either. Treat yourself to something good and opt for quality!
