Analyze, share and relive sporting adventures with the Ambit3 Connected family

With the SUUNTO Connected family, active people can not only document their sporting achievements, but also analyze them, share them with others and relive them. The new SUUNTO Ambit3 Connected family will be available worldwide from September. SUUNTO's first Bluetooth Smart compatible product range consists of the new Ambit3 Peak and Ambit3 Sport watches and the SUUNTO Smart Sensor for heart rate monitoring. The Finnish manufacturer's line is completed by the new Movescount app.

The idea behind the first SUUNTO Ambit, released in 2012, was to combine modern functions for both outdoor adventures and endurance athletes in a GPS watch. The new Ambit3 Peak and Ambit3 Sport models are also based on this basic idea: they record all sporting activities, adventures and daily movements. In addition, the watches include all outdoor functions and can even receive text and call notifications.

With the en SUUNTO Movescount app, athletes can now upload their moves via Bluetooth Smart, change the watch settings and receive notifications while on the move. The app allows athletes to take photos showing their real-time speed, distance traveled and other details. The training can also be turned into a "SUUNTO Movie". Kilian Jornet, one of the best trail runners in the world, recently recorded his ascent to Denali: www.suunto.com/kilianssuuntomovie

The app will initially be available for iPhones and iPads and can be downloaded from the App Store from September 1st. An Android version is also planned.
